This is an update for FSX acceleration of the F-86a (Slats) by Kirk Olsson. I have updated the flight dynamics, changed the vclight, and added or changed gauges as necessary. This aircraft has both 2D and virtual cockpits. This is the whole aircraft. The VC has a black rectangle where the gunsight should be. I am including an alternate aircraft.cfg file that eliminates the black rectangle, but the cost is the loss of the slats. So you have to choose whether the slats are more important, or the virtual cockpit is more important.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the airplanes folder. Copy the effects to the main FS effects folder. The gauges are in the panel folder. You can leave them there unless you wish to use one or more of them with another panel, in that case just copy them to the main FS gauges folder.

If you have not already done so, copy the .cab files from the default aircraft panel folders that have them to the main FS gauges folder. For some the .cab flies will be .zip files, as .cab files are a type of zip file.

See [reference speeds] section of the aircraft.cfg file for operating speeds.

For those to whom the virtual cockpit is the most important thing, copy the aircraft.cfg file from the hard wing aircraft.cfg folder to the aircraft folder. This will eliminate the black rectangle from the gunsight area, but the slats will no longer work. Be sure you have the original aircraft.cfg backed up in case you wish to go back to working slats.

If you change the aircraft.cfg file, either way, slats or no slats, you may have to shut down the flight sim if it is running and restart it for the change to show.

Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them.
